Project Activator (area to be defined)

Project Activators are the engine room of British Rowing's participation growth agenda. Working directly with clubs, schools, universities and community partners, you will bring energy, creativity and focus to the task of opening up rowing to more people, in more places.

This is a highly practical, outward-facing role for people who enjoy building relationships, solving problems quickly and helping others turn ideas into action. 
You will be part of a small, agile national team, reporting to the Transformational Programme Lead, with the opportunity to lead projects, test new formats and play a visible role in shaping the future of the sport.

British Rowing is recruiting a Project Activator. The role will have a geographic emphasis, ensuring we are close to the communities we serve. Applicants are welcome to highlight any regional knowledge, insight ​or connections they bring as part of their application.

This role is well suited to someone who is motivated by delivery, influence and visible impact. You will:

• Work directly with clubs, schools, colleges, universities and community partners to activate new indoor and on-water participation formats.
• Support pilots and early roll-outs of initiatives such as Learn to Row and participation events, ensuring smooth delivery and positive experiences.
• Act as a first point of contact for clubs and partners on projects, providing responsive, practical support.
• Build trusted local relationships, acting as the face of British Rowing within communities and regions.  
• Spot and escalate opportunities for growth, innovation or partnership, sharing learning across the national Project Activator team.
• Coordinate volunteers and contractors on the ground to deploy capacity where it has the greatest impact. 
• Capture insight and feedback from delivery, reporting progress accurately and celebrating success.
• Represent British Rowing with professionalism and energy at events, workshops and community forums.

Salary: £28-31k plus employee benefits package.
Location: Hybrid - Hammersmith (with significant regional travel)
