British Rowing are excited to be seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of the learning, education, and development (LEAD) programme. The successful candidate will join the LEAD Team in the development of coaches and volunteers across the country by supporting
community clubs, partner organisations, schools, and universities. You will act as the first point of contact for regional volunteers, development coaches, coach educators, contractors and partner organisations in support of the day-to-day operational planning and delivery of our programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the administration of the British Rowing Learning, Education and Development programme.
  • Coordinate and liaise with partners and stakeholders to ensure the effective forecasting and planning of a rolling two-year national calendar of events including formal and informal learning, and the delivery of specialist continuous professional development (CPD) through partner organisations.
  • Be responsible for the tracking of coaches and all identified individuals through their learning journey and maintaining good channels of communication with them.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the performance of the LEAD programme in collaboration with the Insight Team.
  • Market and promote the work of the LEAD Team in collaboration with the Communications Team through the communications plan.
  • Budget forecasting and tracking, including the timely processing of orders and invoices.

A bit about you
You’ll be a customer-centric ‘people person’ with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You have a can-do attitude and are always looking at generating efficiencies in the way we do things.
We need someone who is able to deal with high volumes of work at peak times and is comfortable
working with a membership management and event booking system and online learning platform.
Mandatory Requirements
  • An organised individual who is able to prioritise and deliver against the strategy to agreed deadlines and to the highest standards
  • Self-driven, able to work on own initiative and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to negotiate and influence in key situations
  • Proven record of establishing a culture of collaboration, team working, innovation and support
  • Has experience of budget forecasting and tracking experience or would be willing to learn
  • Great communicator who can operate in a positive and encouraging way to build high quality relationships
